Unetwork is a network of everyday devices, mostly smartphones, run by people around the world. Businesses pay to have those devices carry out small, specific checks, for example, whether a call or message arrives correctly in a particular country, how an app behaves on a real phone, or what connection conditions look like in a given place. Unetwork sends each job to suitable devices and returns the results. The people who run those devices share in the fees.
If you run a device on Unetwork, you’re a Unetwork License Operator. Your device does the work, and a license is what lets it take part.
Why does Unetwork exist?
Unetwork is an edge network. Instead of running from servers in a data center, it is made up of devices at the far end of the network: the phones and connections people use every day, spread across many countries.
Being at the edge allows Unetwork to:
- See things from the user’s side: what people actually experience, rather than what a company’s own systems report.
- Be present almost anywhere, on local devices and connections, without building infrastructure there.
- Take on new kinds of work as demand changes, because the same devices can be put to different uses.
The specific jobs change over time. The advantage of being at the edge doesn’t.
What is the Unetwork app?
The app is how a device joins the network. Once it’s installed, signed in and paired with an active license, your device becomes available for the jobs it qualifies for, and the app shows its status and rewards. Some jobs are simple and don’t have many requirements. Others need a SIM, a certain kind of connection, or a few taps from you. Which jobs reach you depends on your location, your device and connection, and what businesses need at that moment.

How does the money flow?
Businesses pay for completed work, and rewards are funded from those fees. That means rewards follow demand: they depend on how much work reaches your device and how reliably it stays online. There is no fixed monthly amount.

Running a Unetwork license
Every device needs its own license. You can pick one up on Unetwork’s marketplace, or lease one from a Node Operator: a license holder who manages many licenses and shares the rewards with the people who run them.
That’s what Astra Nodes does. You bring the device and keep it online. We bring the license, get you set up, keep an eye on performance and help when something goes wrong. The reward split is fixed in the lease before you start, and it improves as your device performs. We’re independent: we run licenses on Unetwork, we don’t build it.
What stays the same, and what changes?
Unetwork is still developing, and some details move quickly. It helps to keep two groups apart.
- Stable: real devices doing paid checks for businesses; one license per device; rewards driven by demand and uptime; the lease setting the split.
- Changes often: which job types exist, which devices and platforms are supported, eligibility rules such as account verification, and reward rates.
